~Option Two~

Skele-gro

For today’s lesson, we will be looking at the wonderful potion known as Skele-gro! Skele-gro is used by Healers to allow a patient to regrow missing bones or mend broken bones. The original potion was created by Linfred of Stinchcombe, but it is now a more mass-produced potion thanks to Rubens Winikus and Company Inc. As such, the formula is, unfortunately, unknown. We do know of the ingredients, which include puffer fish and an arm bone, but we do not know how to brew the potion itself. The known ingredients are: One Chinese Chomping Cabbage, Three Puffer Fish, 5 Scarab Beetles, One Fanged Geranium, One Arm Bone, and One Red Spider. An interesting combination, don’t you think? We also know that missing bones take longer regrow than broken bones take to mend, and the more bones that need mending or regrowing, the longer it will take the potion to complete its job. If brewed correctly, this potion is perfect for any healer, or anyone who may work in a more dangerous field or in a more remote area away from healers and hospitals. This potion is definitely more advanced than ones we have covered in the past, but I look forward to seeing what all you lovely students can do! And with that said, we’ll move on to your assignment for this lesson!

Homework

1. Choose one of the ingredients and do some research on it. Explain what role you think it plays in the potion and why, and explain any known effects the ingredient has.

2.  Imagine you have had to take Skele-gro, for both a broken bone and a missing bone. Keep a short journal comparing the two experiences.
